It was my birthday!

and I spent most of the day working XD but they still had some cake for me at work and some cheesecake at home.

Yeah, probably gonna have to run extra to use those calories >w>;;;

I think... I have officially kidnapped "Tukuma" https://www.deviantart.com/tukuma and now she's living in here and stuff. We have fixed the place some but there's still work to get done.

For now we have settled and will rely on the small stuff we have. There's a few things we haven't unpacked but is mostly because we don't have furniture to put it on. I'll be working on stuff I still owe so I can start posting again!

In a few hours, as of me writing this journal, I'll be heading out of state to come back with :icontukuma: to Illinois. One flight and then a return on a... sort of overnight road trip. I have been getting the place I got in good shape and as I have mentioned before, the only thing missing is some furniture but we are getting there.

Looking forward to this trip. This is the beginning of a new phase in our lives!

Lately things have been pretty damn crazy, but in a good way.

I haven't felt the kick needed to continue my art as much as I do and I'm not sure why, but I feel part of this can be attributed to the weirdness of this year. Current events are affecting just about everyone but we can only push forward, right? Well, I have certainly been doing that and seems my year will have a good ending.

These past months I have been preparing my money and savings for one of the biggest moves in my life. I considered options between continue renting, or buying a property. Now, my income is not the greatest but it ain't bad either. My boss gave me a small push because he knows this decision has been in the making for a couple years. In our current economy a rent is way way close to a property purchase in regards to monthly payments, even my landlord said "go for it!" and introduced me to an agent. Took some time but we found the place and closing is coming after a lot of back and forth between agencies, bank, credit bureaus, etc.

Seems I'll be moving soon possibly at the end of this month. Now comes the part where I have to move my stuff and furnish the place to have it ready for when I go and pick up my wife "Tukuma"

Here's hoping I get back to drawing more often once I'm settled... Well, that and I might need more income. My current job offers what I need but a little extra goes a long way :3

I'll keep you guys updated with the move and whatnot! I'm just happy I finally get to do this! 2020 was oddly nice to me... I'm not letting my guard down tho... waiting on that alien invasion...
